WHAT KEEPS ME CURIOUS
Things I like learning about.
I like understanding how a thing works, not just learning how to use it. These are the areas I keep coming back to.
BUILDING APPLICATIONS
Java backend development
I’m focused on how backend applications are structured, how REST APIs communicate, and how data moves reliably between an application and relational databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL using Java and Spring Boot.
Focusing on clean REST API design, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), relational data modeling, and shipping reliable server-side services.
UNDER THE HOOD
Systems programming
Writing a POSIX shell in C made operating-system concepts feel much more concrete. I enjoy exploring process creation, file descriptors, pipes, raw TCP sockets, memory management, and what actually happens when a command runs.
Building tools from scratch—like SXSHELL (7 modules, 7 built-ins, 4 redirection operators), an HTTP server, and a garbage collector—to demystify OS internals.
OPEN SOURCE & GAME ENGINE INTERNALS
Open source & game development
I’m an active open-source contributor to the Godot Engine (3 merged pull requests in Godot 4.8 out of 11 submitted) and enjoy exploring game development and graphics programming in Unity and C#.
Navigating large C++ engine codebases, fixing editor regressions in Godot 4.8, and prototyping gameplay systems in Unity.
EVIDENCE-BASED SKILLS
